Custom Hand Tools

The weeder style on the right is shown in the 1898 Peter Henderson & Company catalog as the "Hazeltine Weeder".  The tip and long sides of the blade are sharpened on both edges.

The weeder on the left somewhat resembles the "Jennings Weeder" in the same catalog, but with a rounded blade.  Current catalogs refer to this rounded version as a "nejiri" weeder.  It can be done in a left-handed version.

The red-handled ones are the current commercial versions I copied; mine are hand forged from sawblades and lawnmower blade steel.  Both tools here are very versatile, quick and efficient weeding tools.

Customized with a person's name stamped into the metal, they make great gifts.
